The separate elements are grouped together in categories to visualize the concept of the villa XYZ in lego. A chunk of 25x25x25m3 is chopped out of the transparent earth to form the massive basis for the conceptual villa. The villa consists of an artificial landscape presenting the genetic elements, functional elements and form elements. The X (red), Y (blue) and XY (yellow) chromosomes contain the genetic data which eventually will produce the villa. The functional elements (blue sanitary cell, yellow walk-in closet and red separating wall) are the no-nonsense containers of monochromatic function. The form elements are separated from the functional and the genetic to emphasize their autonomous power in organizing the concept. All elements, grouped together in front of the broken hole in the sky, are superimposed: the concept becomes tangible. The most straightforward scheme, at the same time complex in its implications and meaning, will generate the most powerful architectural impact.
