hyperBODY's "Interactive Wall" recived a price in the category "Robotics and Bionics". The wall is a dynamic wall 'that responds to the user. The Interactive Wall consists of seven separate flexible sections with a height of six meters wich can bend forward and back in response to the observer himself.
The Interactive Wall was commissioned by Festo, a worldwide supplier of pneumatic and electric automation technology. Festo had the Interactive Wall designd for their presentation at the Hannover Messe 2009, a tradeshow in the field of industrial technology.
For hyperBODY Interactive Wall was a unique opportunity to develop a prototype for interactive architecture. The Interactive Wall is an important step towards developing an architecture that is no longer a static background for its users, but an essential adaptable element in a dynamic environment.
